Poor Edith. I hope things get better for her in this Sunday's episode. She might think about knitting some of the se lovely projects from Knitscene Spring 2013 to assuage her grief... Obviously I'm not the only knitter obsessed with 1920's fashions as evidenced by this issue. My first pick is the Biarritz Cloche. The sample is knitted in cotton, and stiffened with starch to add body. I'd like to try a red/gray or black colorway... To give herself something to anticipate,Lady Edith might try knitting the Zelda tank for spring. A lovely blue would do well for a girl with the blues! For meditative walks about the estate on cool days, Edith might want to consider Morning Glory Tam and Mitts. Poor Edith... But if I know anything about adversity and heartbreak , she'll turn this sad episode into a life lesson and all the great karma that will follow. Then she can WOW everyone at his funeral in this number!!!! The Patou Tunic made with Madeline Tosh Pashmina should do the trick... So my advice dear Edith, is grab those needles and knit through all adversity!! Wonder if Julian Bellowes needs an assistant writer???
